

Annika Sorenstam is one of the most dominant golfers -- male or female -- in the history of the game. Her career accomplishments are mind-boggling and the list is still growing. Sorenstam already has three wins in 2008 and will look to add another major title, to her portfolio of ten, at this week at the U.S Women's. Open.
But Sorenstam is combining this year of stellar play into a swan song of sorts, a victory lap around the LPGA, as she has announced her retirement effective at the end of the 2008 season. Though she'll still be a part of many of golf's great traditions, her absence from the competitive scene will reverberate throughout the entire golf world.
PGA.com's Grant Boone conducted an exclusive interview with Annika on the eve of the U.S. Women's Open where she shared her thoughts on the golf world, her legacy on the game and her plans for the future.
