PGA Merchandise Show builds an extensive Education Conference

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. -- More than 70 education seminars at the 2009 PGA Merchandise Show, Jan. 29-31 in Orlando, Fla., will offer real business solutions and best practices by proven industry leaders. The conference will chart a course for successful business applications spanning facility operations, merchandising, player development, financial planning, inventory management, customer relations and personnel morale.

"The U.S. economy is greatly impacting the way our industry does business and the education conference has been built to offer real solutions in every seminar," said PGA Shows Group Vice President and General Manager Ed Several. "Proven leaders from several sectors of our industry will share best practices, strategies and business models that can have an immediate influence on building business for those who attend the PGA Show."

More than 70 seminars will be presented by The PGA of America and the Association of Golf Merchandisers including:

Additional classes will be offered exclusively to PGA Professionals in the PGA Member Business Center covering PGA PerformanceTrak, Career Goals and Objectives, Getting the Most out of PGA Career Services, Retirement Planning, Time Management and more.

Seminars will be presented daily, Jan. 29-31, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. in the Orange County Convention Center. PGA Professionals will receive 1 MSR Credit per class attended and can earn more than 20 MSR Credits through their additional participation in the Outdoor Demo Day, Product Preview and Buyers' Reception, PGA Merchandise Show, and PGA Members Town Hall.

Industry professionals may view the complete calendar of education seminars and register to attend the PGA Merchandise Show education conference at www.pgashow.com. A full conference pass including unlimited seminars throughout the conference, all course materials and admission to the exhibit hall is available to PGA members for $395 and to non-PGA members for $450. A single day pass including unlimited seminars, course materials throughout the day of your choice and admission to the exhibit hall is available to PGA members and non-PGA members for $275.

The Outdoor Demo Day, Jan. 28, tees off the Show for PGA Professionals, media and invited guests to test equipment outdoors at the Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge in Winter Garden, Fla. The PGA Merchandise Show, Jan. 29-31, is a trade only event and will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily. Additional announcements regarding new and enhanced PGA Merchandise Show programs will be made.
