
Nov. 21, 2008 -- PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - Some 70 PGA Professionals, including many of The PGA of America's premier golf instructors, will be among the featured instructors at Play Golf America Day, Dec. 3, at the PGA Learning Center in Port St. Lucie, Fla. There is no admission charge.
Play Golf America Day, presented by Callaway Golf and supported by Golf Pride and SkyGolf, is open to those who play the game or are interested in learning the game. The busy day of activities for all members of the family includes free 10-minute lessons, clubfitting, skills contests, raffle prizes and goody bags. Play Golf America Day will be conducted from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (EST), at the PGA Learning Center in Port St. Lucie, Fla.
Visitors will be invited to golf clinics that feature PGA Director of Fitness and Performance David Donatucci at 12:30 p.m.; a trick shot/golf clinic by PGA Master Professional Kevin Compare at 2:30 p.m., and the Dennis Walters Golf Show at 4:30 p.m. Walters, a PGA Honorary Member from Jupiter, Fla., was the recipient of the 2008 PGA Distinguished Service Award.
The first 1,000 registered attendees will receive a free "goody bag," and will be eligible for drawings for prizes and participate in skills contests. Prizes include such Callaway products as FT-iQ drivers, White Hot XG putters, Z-forged wedges and FT Hybrids.
A Callaway Golf Tour van will be on site to build custom clubs on the spot for attendees purchasing new fitted Callaway Golf clubs. The Play Golf America Day features include:
