PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. -- Callaway Golf (NYSE: ELY), a Platinum Sponsor of The PGA of America, has reached an agreement to become the title sponsor of the PGA Assistant Championship and the 41 Section PGA Assistant Championships conducted nationwide.

The 33rd Callaway Golf PGA Assistant Championship will be conducted Nov. 19-22, 2009, at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Fla. Former Champions of this prominent event include Ryder Cup team members Loren Roberts (1979) and Fred Funk (1984); two-time PGA Professional National Champion Darrell Kestner of Glen Cove, N.Y., (1982, '87), now one of the country's foremost golf instructors; and Callaway Master Staff Professional Bruce Zabriski of Jupiter, Fla. (1995).
