PGA Honorary President Whitcomb pays tribute to Harrington in England
PGA of America Honorary President Brian Whitcomb commemorated the 2008 historic PGA Championship victory by Ireland's Padraig Harrington, presenting him with a replica of the Wanamaker Trophy during a dinner May 19, in conjunction with the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth in Virginia Water, England.
Harrington, the first European to win back-to-back major championships in the modern era, became the first European-born player since Scotland's Tommy Armour (1930) to capture a PGA Championship.
