Spending last week at Augusta National was apparently just the start of the fun for Chinese teenager Guan Tianlang.

Guan's father celebrated his birthday on Sunday, and the youngster gave him the silver cup he received as low amateur at the Masters. Happy birthday, Pops – you'll always remember this one!

With Adam Scott earning his first green jacket, Titleist certainly had a Masters to remember.

For starters, Scott played with a brand-new Titleist 913D3 driver – in fact, he put it in his competition bag for the first time at Augusta National, though he had been testing it for a month or so. He also was using a new Titleist Scotty Cameron Futura X long putter (and both Scott and Angel Cabrera played Titleist balls, Scott the Pro V1 and Cabrera the Pro V1x).

The conclusion of the first major of 2013 is also the start of the points race for the 2014 U.S. Ryder Cup team. The only events in which points are awarded this season, in fact, are the majors; weekly points will begin accumulating next season.

Phil Mickelson famously won the 2006 Masters using two slightly different Callaway drivers. This week, he's trying a similar strategy.

No, Mickelson doesn't have two drivers in the bag, but close. Along with his Callaway RAZR Fit Xtreme driver, he's got what Callaway is calling the ''Phrankenwood.''

Bubba Watson'a autographed menu from Champions Dinner contains the signatures of many of golf's greatest champions.

As is the Masters tradition, Bubba Watson hosted the annual Champions Dinner at Augusta National Tuesday night.

I was kind of hoping that Bubba would make everyone pile into the General Lee for a road trip over to Famous Dave's Bar-B-Que or the T-Bonz Steakhouse, with maybe a stop at Sonic for dessert. But Watson was true to his southern roots, serving a meal of grilled chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes, corn, macaroni and cheese, corn bread and, as a nightcap, confetti cake and/or vanilla ice cream.

Tiger Woods is on the "Meh List," but at least he's No. 1.

Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn are done – at least according to the New York Times Sunday magazine.

Each week, the magazine has a little feature called ''The Meh List.'' It describes itself as a list of things that are ''not hot, not not, just meh.''

And topping the list this week, as we can see in the image above, is golf's No. 1 power couple.

Titleist makes 712U utility irons available for custom order

The heads of the Titleist 712U utility irons are chrome plated with a satin finish, and are slightly larger than the standard 2-irons, 3-irons and 4-irons in the Titleist MB 712 and CB 712 series.
By John Holmes

Series: Golf Buzz

Last fall, Titleist quietly seeded some of its prototype 712U utility irons among its staff players, and said that their reaction would help the company determine whether the clubs would be released to the public. Not quite six months later, we know what that determination is – they'll be available to the public by custom order starting May 15.

Three irons will be available – an 18-degree 2-iron, a 21-degree 3-iron and a 24-degree 4-iron.
