Callaway celebrates Big Bertha's 20th birthday at PGA Merchandise Show

Callaway Golf will showcase the company's latest equipment, apparel, GPS devices, footwear and golf accessory lines during their 28th consecutive year of participation in the annual PGA Merchandise Show, Jan. 27-29, 2011, in Orlando, Fla. Callaway Golf, a PGA of America Platinum Sponsor, will return to the global industry's 58th annual gathering to provide some 40,000 attending PGA Professionals, retailers and industry leaders with an exclusive product preview, demonstration and merchandising strategies at the Outdoor Demo Day, Indoor Demo Days and within multiple locations on the Show floor. "The 2011 PGA Merchandise Show marks 20 years since the introduction of the original Big Bertha Driver, which changed the industry forever and kicked off the era of modern golf club design," said Joe Urzetta, Sr. Vice President, U.S. Sales, Callaway Golf. "At January's show we plan to honor this special anniversary with the introduction of the most innovative and bold lineup of equipment in our history." During Outdoor Demo Day, scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011, at Orange County National Golf Center & Lodge in Orlando, Callaway Golf will showcase its expansive 2011 product line, offering PGA Professionals and retailers an opportunity to experience Callaway's latest technological advances in club design. From Thursday, Jan. 27 through Saturday, Jan. 29, at the Orange County Convention Center, the Callaway Golf family of brands that include Odyssey and Top-Flite, will offer product testing opportunities at the hitting bays of Indoor Demo Days and exhibit their full line of products within the PGA Equipment Forum. Callaway Golf's deep new lines of 2011 footwear, apparel and accessories will also be on display within an exhibit located in the apparel hall. Additionally, Callaway officials will offer programs specifically for PGA Professionals on the PGA Equipment Forum stage and company executives will meet with golf industry leaders to grow partnerships and discuss customer needs worldwide. "The PGA of America and our more than 28,000 men and women PGA Professionals have enjoyed and valued the continuous support by Callaway Golf at our marquee membership business event for nearly three decades," said PGA of America President Allen Wronowski.
