It is my pleasure, on behalf of The PGA of America, to welcome you to Longaberger Golf Club, the site of The 37th PGA Club Professional Championship. This is the premier competitive event of the year for PGA Club Professionals, and defending Champion Tim Thelen will face a field of 155 challengers as he tries to earn his third Walter Hagen Cup in the past five years.
The Golf Channel will be on hand as our exclusive media partner to broadcast the excitement of this event live throughout the country. The competitors will be vying not only for the recognition of their peers and a share of the $450,000 purse, but for 25 coveted berths in the 2004 PGA Championship at Whistling Straits, Wis.
We are truly excited about holding this event at Longaberger Golf Club, and would like to thank the people of central Ohio for their assistance in helping us put on this event. We would also like to thank the staff at Longaberger, led by PGA Director of Golf Danny Ackerman and Course Superintendent Mark Rawlins, for their efforts to make this 37th CPC a success. Finally, we’d like to thank presenting sponsors Titleist, FootJoy Worldwide, Cobra Golf, Buick, and Club Car Inc., along with the PGA Tour, members of the media, and the volunteers and fans who help make this a showcase event for our more than 28,000 men and women PGA Professionals.
Sincerely,
