PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - The Acushnet Company, one of The PGA of America's premier supporters of PGA Professionals, leads a trio of presenting sponsors of the 37th PGA Club Professional Championship, June 24-27, at Longaberger Golf Club in Nashport, Ohio. Buick and Club Car are the other two presenting sponsors. The PGA Tour and The Golf Channel are supporting partners, while The Greg Norman Collection, Amstel Light and Buckler are official product partners.

Acushnet, with headquarters in Fairhaven, Mass., oversees the Titleist, FootJoy and Cobra companies. Their sponsorship includes the 41 PGA Section and four fall Regional PGA Club Professional Championships.

The sponsorship of the PGA Club Professional Championship is one of several marketing initiatives Acushnet conducts with The PGA of America. Other programs include a scholarship program for PGA Apprentices working through The PGA Professional Golf Management Program, an Exclusive Product Supplier to PGA Golf Properties, and Golf Retirement Plusä, a supplemental savings program for PGA Professionals.

"The success of The PGA Club Professional Championship, a premier event in our annual schedule, is due to the outstanding support of Titleist, FootJoy and Cobra, which leads the way for our presenting sponsors," said PGA of America President M.G. Orender. "Acushnet's support, from the Section to national level, has gone far to increase public awareness of our national championship and its overall commitment to the PGA Professional."

The 2003 PGA Club Professional Championship, four regional PGA Club Professional Championships and 41 PGA Section Championships feature a combined total purse of $1.45 million. The national PGA Club Professional Championship purse is $450,000 distributed among a 156-player field.
