Top 25 PGA Professionals to the 86th PGA Championship
Ohio's Bob Sowards leads 25 PGA professionals to 86th PGA Championship at Whistling Straits
NASHPORT, Ohio - PGA Club Professional Champion Bob Sowards of Columbus, Ohio, will head a 25-member delegation earning berths in the 86th PGA Championship, Aug. 12-15, at Whistling Straits-Straits Course in Kohler, Wis.
Sowards, 36, the assistant professional at Wedgewood Golf & Country Club in Powell, Ohio, will be competing in his fourth PGA Championship. Sowards earned his first national title by finishing with a final-round 2-under-par 70 and 12-under-par 276 total Sunday at Longaberger Golf Club in Nashport, Ohio.
