Masters 2019: Here are the rookies in the field

In the 82 times the Masters Tournament has been contested since 1934, only three golfers have won the coveted green jacket as a first-time participant.

Obvious honors go to Horton Smith, who won the very first Masters in 1934. 

In 1935, Gene Sarazen hit the "shot heard around the world" during his first Masters Tournament and won the last of his seven majors.

Then 44 years later, Fuzzy Zoeller took his first stroll down Magnolia Lane and outlasted Tom Watson and Ed Sneed in a playoff to win the 1979 Masters Tournament.

Jordan Spieth came close to breaking the rookie drought in 2014 when he finished second to Bubba Watson on his first attempt, but the streak stands at 38 years since a rookie has won.
