Vintage Tiger Woods dominates Carnoustie and Twitter at The Open Championship

Tiger Woods is back.

In a third round full of low scores at the 147th Open Championship, Tiger Woods made his charge towards the top of the leaderboard. Earlier in the morning, Justin Rose matched the record-low round of 64 for a major at Carnoustie, and Woods apparently saw it as a challenge.

The world was tuned in as Woods reeled off birdie after birdie in a bogey-free opening 9 of the third round. When he was 6-under and still bogey-free through 15 holes and tied for first, social media erupted. Woods finished 5-under 66 to enter the clubhouse very much alive for Sunday's final round.
