Rory McIlroy carries drive 365 yards on Quail Hollow range

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Four-time major champion Rory McIlroy is already recognized as one of the longest players in the game today. But what he was doing on the driving range at Quail Hollow Wednesday morning in his final preparations for the 99th PGA Championship was downright absurd.

Golf Channel cameras caught great footage of McIlroy just blasting 3-woods and drivers over the Quail Hollow range and, accompanied by Shot Tracer, the numbers were just eye-popping.

McIlroy was routinely carrying his 3-wood well over 300 yards and then when he reached for the driver it was just stupid.

Check out the 5:13 mark of the video below. That's where McIlroy carried a driver 365 yards.

The best part of the video is that with the animated graphic, you can actually see the golf balls landing over the cart path at the end of the driving range. Tee shots like these will serve McIlroy well this week on a course where he's had six top-10 finishes in seven starts, including two wins and a playoff loss.
