This course is a completely flat track of 27 holes comprised of 3 nines - Oaks, Lakes and Island. It's maintained to the highest levels of resort course environment year round with pristine fairway lies everywhere. The fairways are very wide on most holes and the course is extremely forgiving of bad shots - allowing bombers the chance to recover. Fairways can run hard and fast in summer heat, though many green aprons are very soft due to heavy watering of the greens to protect them from the heat.
Most of the greens are large and undulating with many subtle breaks and are rarely ever super fast unless rolled for a special tournament. There are a number of lakes that are in play, as well as a number of risk reward shots that present themselves in a round.
The clubhouse is elegant and the food is great. SOCC scores on all levels and gets the highest rating of 5 stars.
