El Campeon is my favorite course on the planet. The elevation changes will make you question if you are still in the state of Florida; however, the strong smell of citrus from the nearby orange juice plant will confirm your still playing in the sunshine state. Littered with ancient pines, alligators, and island greens, this is truly the quintessential Florida course. Old Spanish architecture greets you on the turn and the last three holes rival those at Augusta.
The Pro shop leaves Golf Galaxy looking like a garage sale, and the club house restaurant, Nicker's is great for a casual lunch, dinner or Saturday Night Prime Rib and Seafood Buffet.
