This is an Air Force Base! The shape of the golf course depends on who the commander is for the wing. If the commander plays golf, the course will be in great shape. If the commander doesnt play then it will look like hell. Fortunately, the new commander has this course looking beautiful. My office actually sits next to Hole 1 and the fairways are mowed every other day. The course is watered daily. The sand in the bunkers is white! And the amount to play is based on your rank. If you are a civilian or contractor, you will be paying much more than someone in the military. For me, the cost is $22 for 18 holes and a cart.
disappointed with this course. i travel to robins air force base many times per year and have played this course many times since 1985. condition and management has declined in the past year and it's sad to see a course with great character in such poor condition. the staff seems like they hate their jobs, a few regulars act like they own the place, proper course etiquette is not enforced and the aggrivation is not worth the cost and effort to play there.
