I am a native San Antonian, high school golf team member late Sixties. I played"Brack" a lot before college and again after college "75-6. I remember first Eagle on 9,with 3 wood and 12" putt. Crazy fun. Trinity golf coach (lady) gave me small adjustment tips while team hit balls at practice range. Fun.'75.
I have yet to play it as remodel but spent many years on Tillinghast course in Dallas (Cedar Crest) which was restored by D.A. Weibring group to original tees and greensand layout mostly. Nice job. '27 PGA played there. Hagen won.
Back in high school on the back nine was a fence from neighbor's property line with small hole chest high. Lady sold ham salad sandwiches till she ran out. 50 cents. Mmmm. Enchiladas in clubhouse were good in the day.
