Series: A Quick Nine

While many of us are busy shoveling snow - as a New Englander, I woke up to a fresh 16 inches of the heavy, white stuff that's waiting to break my back this morning - others are lucky enough to be in tropical places like Hawaii.

I know I'll probably get side-tracked with that shoveling, daydreaming of golf in Hawaii.

A QUICK NINE

In this week's Facebook feature, we asked you to tell us what your favorite golf course in Hawaii is.

The PGA Tour is in Oahu for the Sony Open this week for its second event of the 2011 season. Last week, if you stayed up late enough to watch, you were blown away by the beauty of Kapalua's Plantation Course during the Tournament of Champions.

To those who know golf in Hawaii, our, 'A Quick Nine,' feature this week is centered around the question: What's your favorite course to play in our 50th state?

Here's what you had to say:

1. Kauai Lagoons Golf Club, Lihue. A Golf Magazine "Gold Medal Golf Resort" winner, Kauai Lagoons is like a Field of Dreams for golfers, featuring 18 Jack Nicklaus Signature holes.

Facebook fan quotes:

"I like Wailea Gold course with the view Mauna Kea." -- Howard Artrip

3. Kaanapali Golf Resort, Maui. A spectacular resort right by Maui's breathtaking beaches, this venue has played host to several professional events through the years and is first class all the way.

I'm so excited I'm taking my honey to a Kauai for our next golf trip. We are even staying at course designer, Robert Trent Jones Jr.'s house. He rents it out through Kauai Vacation Rentals. http://bit.ly/nQnSjN

I feel Kapalua should be higher on that list
