To Be or Not to Be? That is the Question

Many championship golf courses can be considered decision-maker's golf courses. Choosing shots that match your ability level is critical. Understanding the value of risk and reward will help you make the right decisions to keep you score as low as possible.
On every tee, the question to be asked is: Shall I play conservatively or aggressively? You will find that a conservative strategy off of the tee will provide you with a very accommodating fairway; the more aggressively you play, the smaller the target becomes. Intelligent course management is to choose reasonably conservative targets and make comfortable, positive swings. Getting in play off the tee is only the first step to conquering a championship course. Once you find the fairway, you will have more choices.  Remember to be sure your decision matches your ability and confidence level.
