No Peeking When Chipping

Many players lift their head too soon when chipping because they are eager to see where the ball is going, or they try to help the ball into the air, which causes them to look up too soon. This leads to very inconsistent contact. A simple thought to incorporate is to keep your head down until you hear the ball hit the green. If you are still looking down when you hear the ball hit the green you can be assured that you have not raised your head too soon. You will find your consistency improve immediately.
