Due to their stellar play in the 2008 major championships, past major champions Retief Goosen and Jim Furyk have received -- and accepted -- invitations to play in the 26th PGA Grand Slam of Golf in October. They will join Open and PGA Champion Padraig Harrington and Masters winner Trevor Immelman in the most elite foursome in golf.

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - PGA and Open Champion Padraig Harrington of Ireland has opened the door for two past major champions to complete the foursome for the 26th PGA Grand Slam of Golf, to be conducted in Bermuda and Mid Ocean Club, Oct. 13-15.

Harrington's triumph at Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Township, Mich., was his third major championship and his second of the season. He captured his second straight Open Championship title in July at Royal Birkdale Golf Club.

By winning two major championships this season, Harrington and Masters Champion Trevor Immelman form one-half of the elite foursome. Invitations were
extended and accepted to former major champions
Jim Furyk
