Grand Slam Journal sales to benefit Bermuda Jr. Golf Assoc.

For the second straight year, all proceeds from the sale of the 2008 PGA Grand Slam of Golf Journal will go to the Bermuda Junior Golf Association, it was announced Monday by The PGA of America.

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. -- For the second consecutive year, Bermuda's Crown Communications a division of The Royal Gazette Ltd. will publish the "Official Journal of the 26th PGA Grand Slam of Golf," it was announced Oct. 6 by The PGA of America. The 26th PGA Grand Slam of Golf will be conducted at Mid Ocean Club, Oct. 13-15.

The 152-page journal highlights golf's Major Championships, the history of The PGA of America and the island of Bermuda, and will be available on site during the 26th PGA Grand Slam of Golf for $5. All proceeds from the sale of the journal benefit the Bermuda Junior Golf Association.

"Once again Crown Communications, a division of The Royal Gazette Ltd., has published a wonderful magazine that highlights the major championships of golf," said David Charles, The PGA of America's Senior Director of Championships. "The PGA is pleased we are able to publish locally on Bermuda and of the relationship we have with Crown Communications."

PGA and Open Champion Padraig Harrington, Masters Champion Trevor Immelman, Retief Goosen and Jim Furyk will compete in this year's PGA Grand Slam of Golf.

Tickets for the 26th PGA Grand Slam of Golf are still available and can be purchased in Bermuda at Ocean View Golf Club, Riddell's Bay Golf Course and Upstairs Golf & Tennis Shop or by calling 1-800-PGA-GOLF (800-742-4653), or 561-624-7601, or by visiting www.pga.com or www.pgagrandslamofgolf.com

Season tickets for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will be available for $150 and come in the form of three individual day tickets. Daily tickets for individual day attendance will be available for $50 on Monday for the Champions Clinic and Pro-Am and $75 each day for the Tuesday and Wednesday competition days.
