From the highest elevation of the property, the first hole drops over 100 feet to the target of the drive. The two bunkers turn the hole sharply to the right as it plays along the valley floor and along a lake that extends to the front of the green. One of the largest on the course it is framed by the strong mounds of its bunkers. The short approach needs to seek one of various hole locations protected by water, bunkers or the strong middle contour of the putting surface.
