The early leader at Erin Hills crushed a 322-yard drive off the tee, and then followed that up with a beautiful 285 yard 3-wood to reach the green in two shots. An easy two-putt from 47 feet pushed Fowler to 4-under for his opening nine holes.

As of this post, Fowler is in the lead at 6-under and doing an incredible job making Erin Hills look fairly tame so far.
