Zach Johnson talks about the Ryder Cup in the fifth of six Inside Looks with PGA.com.

We know you're a huge Iowa Hawkeyes fan. How closely do you follow the college football season?
A) To say that I am a HUGE Iowa Hawkeyes fan might even be an understatement. I love the Hawks and follow college football very closely, keeping tabs of recruits on Rivals.com and other sites. It is not uncommon of me to ask for scores Saturday while playing on the PGA TOUR. Some people think I might be a little obsessed.

Will you make it to any games this season?
A) I try to get to at least a couple of games each year. Obviously I love Iowa football, but coming back also allows me to spend time with my family and friends that I haven't seen in awhile. Kinnick Stadium is the best in college football and tailgating is one of my favorite pastimes.

Do you follow the NFL at all? If so, what's your favorite team?
A) I don't follow the NFL too much, though being an avid sports fan I am certainly up to speed on things. Growing up in Iowa without professional sports teams, I tended to follow the Denver Broncos largely because of John Elway and I also followed the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team.

Outside of golf, what's your favorite sport to watch?
A) Obviously I don't watch a tremendous amount of golf because I am playing. I love watching college football AND basketball. With the expansion of the sports stations across the country no matter where I am I can usually watch my teams play. To me the atmosphere of college sports is unlike anything else.

What do you enjoy most when you're at home and away from the golf course?
A) When I am home it is all about family time. I have three young children and spending time with them is the greatest thing! My oldest, Will is getting involved in sports so I love watching him and Wyatt and Abby Jane keep me quite busy. Spending time with Kim and the kids is what I love to do when I am home and Sea Island is such a great place to raise a family.

If you didn't play golf for a living, what do you think you'd be doing?
A) I'd be a ski bum in the Rockies. I love skiing and anytime I am in the mountains I am in my happy place. So living in and around the mountains might have been my path if golf didn't come calling.
