Ireland's Shane Lowry scored the 16th hole-in-one in Masters history on Augusta National's par-3 16th hole in Sunday's final round. Lowry used an 8-iron from 181 yards.

The green at the par-3 16th hole at Augusta National isn't an easy one.

So, if you have the chance to avoid using the putter, take it.

That's what Ireland's Shane Lowry just did in the final round of the Masters.

Using an 8-iron from 181 yards out, Lowry recorded the 16th hole-in-one on the 16th hole in Masters history (and the first in four years on that hole):

It was also Lowry's first ace in the U.S.
