SYDNEY – The 2014 Australian Masters will be played at Melbourne's Metropolitan club from Nov. 20-23 to lead off the country's three major golf tournaments.

The PGA Tour of Australasia said Friday that the Australian Open will follow from Nov. 27-30 at Sydney's The Australian, with the Australian PGA Championship at Royal Pines in Queensland from Dec. 11-14.

Adam Scott won the Australian PGA and Australian Masters on consecutive weeks last year when the tournaments were played in different order. Rory McIlroy's birdie on the 18th hole at Royal Sydney gave him the Australian Open title and prevented Scott from winning the so-called Australian Triple Crown.

Tournament officials have not announced whether Scott, who will defend his Masters title next week at Augusta National, or McIlroy will return to defend their Australian titles.
