Course: PGA National Resort and Spa, The Champion (7,140 yards, par 70).
Purse: $6.1 million. Winner's share: $1,098,000.
 
Last year: Padraig Harrington won the rain-delayed event in a Monday finish. He beat Daniel Berger with a birdie on the second hole of a playoff.
 
Last week: Bubba Watson won the Northern Trust Open at Riviera in Los Angeles. He birdied two of the last three holes to beat Adam Scott and Jason Kokrak by a stroke.
 
Notes: Third-ranked Rory McIlroy is coming off a 20th-place tie at Riviera in his first U.S. start of the year. He won in 2012 at PGA National. ... Phil Mickelson also is in the field along with Scott and Rickie Fowler. Mickelson tied for second two weeks ago at Pebble Beach. He's winless since the 2013 British Open. ... The Champion course was the site of the 1983 Ryder Cup and 1987 PGA Championship. ... The tour will remain in Florida the next three weeks for the World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship, Valspar Championship and Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Notes: South Africa's Louis Oosthuizen tops the field along with Olesen, Dubuisson and Australians Fraser and Peter Senior. Senior won the Australian Masters in November at a record age of 56. ... Ernie Els won the 2003 Johnnie Walker Classic at Lake Karrinyup at 29-under 259, the lowest score in relation to par in European Tour history.

Last week: Japan's Haru Nomura won the Women's Australian Open for her first LPGA Tour title. She closed with a 7-under 65 for a three-stroke victory over top-ranked Lydia Ko.
 
Notes: Second-ranked Inbee Park is returning from a back injury that forced her to withdraw after a first-round 80 in the season-opening event in the Bahamas. The South Korean won in 2013 at Siam Country Club when Thailand's Ariya Jutanugarn closed with a triple bogey to blow a two-stroke lead. ... Lewis has nine runner-up finishes in a 41-event victory drought that dates to June 2014. The 11-time tour winner has 22 career second-place finishes. ... Sweden's Anna Nordqvist won the 2014 event. ... The HSBC Women's Champions is next week in Singapore.

Graham Marsh recently re-designed the course. The new layout was used for the first time last year for the Australian PGA Championship.
