Last year: Japan's Hideki Matsuyama won his first PGA Tour title. He beat Kevin Na with a par on the first hole of a playoff.
 
Last week: Australia's Steven Bowditch won the AT&T Byron Nelson in Irving, Texas, closing with a 5-under 64 for a four-shot victory.
 
Notes: Tiger Woods is making his first start since tying for 69th on May 10 in The Players Championship. He won at Muirfield Village in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2009 and 2012. ... Jack Nicklaus founded the tournament in 1976 and won in 1977 and 1984. ... Masters champion Jordan Spieth is playing for the third straight week. In his home Dallas area the last wo weeks, he tied for second in the Colonial and tied for 30th in the Byron Nelson. ... Players Championship winner Rickie Fowler is coming off a 30th-place tie last week in the Irish Open. ... Nick Faldo is the tournament honoree. ... The FedEx St. Jude Classic is next week in Memphis, Tennessee, followed by the U.S. Open at Chambers Bay in University Place, Washington.

Last week: Anna Nordqvist won the ShopRite LPGA Classic in New Jersey for her fifth LPGA Tour title. The Swede beat France's Christel Boeljon by a stroke.
 
Notes: Top-ranked Lydia Ko is in the field. She won the Canadian Women's Open as an amateur in 2012 and 2013. ... Canadian Brooke Henderson is making her sixth tour start of the year. The 17-year-old from Smiths Falls, Ontario, was third in the Swinging Skirts in April in California. ... The tournament is in its first season at Whistle Bear after three years at Grey Silo. ... The KPMG Women's PGA Championship, the second major of the season, is next week at Westchester Country Club in Harrison, New York.

Bob Gilder won in 2011 to become the oldest winner in tournament history at 60 years, 6 months, 5 days. He also won in 2002. ... The Constellation Senior Players Championship, the third major of the year, is next week at Belmont Country Club in Massachusetts.
