Austin Eckroat of Edmond, Oklahoma, shot a final-round 75 Saturday to win the 2016 Junior Invitational at Sage Valley Golf Club by one shot over Min Woo Lee of Australia. Eckroat led wire-to-wire, finishing with a three-day total of 210.
 
Austin Eckroat of Edmond, Okla., at 9-under par 135, leads the 2016 Junior Invitational at Sage Valley Golf Club by five strokes after Friday's second round. Garrett Barber of Stuart, Fla.; Doc Redman of Raleigh, N.C.; and Norman Xiong of Canyon Lake, Calif., are tied for second with two-day totals of 140.
 
Austin Eckroat of Edmond, Okla., leads after birdies on three of his final five holes en route to a 65 in Thursday's first round. Three shots off Eckroat's pace, in second, is Norman Xiong of Canyon Lake, Calif. 
 
PGA REACH, the charitable foundation of the PGA of America, has teamed up with the SVJI Sports Foundation on the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley, as the two will serve as co-beneficiaries of the 2016 Junior Invitational at Sage Valley Golf Club. Recognized as one of the premier junior tournaments in the world, the event annually attracts many of the top-ranked junior golfers in the world.
 
Fifty-four of the world's best junior golfers, representing 14 different countries and including 16 of the top 17 i the rankings, will tee it up this week in the Junior Invitational, with the three-day, 54-hole tournament starting on Thursday.
 
Junior Invitational chairman Tom Wyatt didn't have to look far to see the success of several former attendees at Sage Valley. Four Junior Invitational alums made the cut at the Masters, with Matthew Fitzpatrick finishing in the top 10.
