Golf Jam 2011 to be staged at PGA Center for Learning and Performance

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- The PGA Center for Golf Learning and Performance will host the inaugural Golfjam 2011 this Saturday, Nov. 19, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., featuring the debut of the new, family-oriented, three-hole PGA Discover Golf Course. In addition, avid golfers can test out the latest innovations in golf clubs and equipment from top golf manufacturers - Callaway, Cobra, Nike, PING, TaylorMade, Titleist and U.S. Kids during the Golfjam Demo Day.

The new PGA Discover Golf Course will enable families and beginners to play together at a leisurely pace on the PGA Center for Golf Learning and Performance's three-hole teaching course. This is a perfect opportunity for novice golfers to come out and learn more about the game.

2008 PGA Distinguished Service Award Winner Dennis Walters will perform his golf shot show at 1 p.m., while long-drive champion Maurice Allen, will perform a demonstration off the tee at 2 p.m. Allen has hit tape measure shots of as long as 432 yards during his career. Meanwhile, there will be fun family activities and contests for kids of all ages.

Attendees that register for a $25 Callaway Club Fitting at Golfjam 2011 will receive a dozen golf balls plus take $25 off their Callaway purchases.
