LAS VEGAS -- When the doors swing open to the 29th edition of the PGA Expo Tuesday, it will be the event’s most extensive showing of top golf brands and industry professionals to participate in recent years. Thousands of PGA Professionals, golf buyers and industry leaders from 47 U.S. states and 14 countries have made plans to attend the 2013 PGA Expo to source the newest golf-related merchandise from some 200 golf vendors; test the latest equipment; learn the latest in technology advancements, instruction and business, all while networking with peers during PGA Expo events held at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino.
The 2013 PGA Expo runs from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Wednesday in The Venetian Ballroom. Once again, the PGA Expo is positioned prominently in the heart of the apparel industry’s “Fashion Week,” which includes the Modern Assembly collection of six fashion trade shows taking place simultaneously in the Venetian and Sands Expo Center.
Officers from The PGA of America, Southwest PGA Section and PGA Worldwide Golf Exhibitions are the official “starters” with a special ceremony at 8:45 a.m. this morning just outside the Venetian Ballroom doors.
"The combination of top vendors and buyers, plus stand-out new professional programming has created a heightened level of excitement as we open the doors to the PGA Expo today,” said PGA Worldwide Golf Exhibitions Event Director Marc Simon. “This is the strongest showing of equipment companies at the PGA Expo in recent years and in combination with the best in golf fashion, plus technology providers and diverse golf-related products and services, the marketplace is full of opportunities to grow business.”
Tuesay’s activities conclude with the PGA Expo Industry Welcome Reception at 5:30 p.m. at Lagasse’s Stadium in the Palazzo Resort Las Vegas. All PGA Expo attendees (with badge) receive complimentary admission, beverages and light hors d’oeuvres.
