PGA Golf Club renovations earn high praise

The PGA Golf Club's recent renovations are being noticed.

Golf Inc. magazine recently listed the Port St. Lucie club among the top five "Most Improved Courses of the Year."

"The honor is testament to our amazing team and the work they do here every day," PGA Senior General Manager Jimmy Terry said in a release. "The course renovations and clubhouse expansion are shining examples of the investment being made at PGA Golf Club to produce one of Florida's top golf and social experiences."

The Dye Course just reopened last month after an extensive re-grassing project, expansion to its greens and major work on bunkers that are a signature for Pete Dye designed layouts. There was also a re-grassing project on the Wanamaker Course, and a multi-million dollar renovation to the clubhouse.

Both the Wanamaker and Dye Courses have also garnered awards as being among the best in Florida. Golfweek ranked the Wanamaker Course No. 16 and the Dye Course No. 27 in its yearly "Best: State-by-State Courses You Can Play." GOLF Magazine ranked the Wanamaker No. 23 and the Dye Course No. 30 in its current edition of "Best Courses Near You."

The PGA Golf Club, the flagship property of the PGA of America, also includes the Ryder Course and the nearby St. Lucie Trail Golf Club.
