Veteran NBC/Golf Channel Broadcaster Mark Rolfing to appear at 2011 PGA Expo

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. -- Veteran NBC/Golf Channel broadcaster Mark Rolfing will make a special appearance on the Show floor main stage at the 2011 PGA Expo on Tuesday, August 23, at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas.

Mark Rolfing is a well-known television professional with more than 20 years of experience as a reporter, commentator and host for such networks as NBC/Golf Channel, ESPN, ABC and CNBC. His easy-going personality and knowledge of the game has paid dividends during interviews with many of golf's biggest stars. The tables are turned in Las Vegas as Rolfing will be an industry special guest sharing his experiences covering golf during a live interview Tuesday, August 23, on the Show floor main stage. Rolfing will be in Las Vegas filming the latest edition of his newest golf television series, Global Golf Adventure, featuring the best golf destinations from around the world.

Rolfing joins well-known golf instructor Butch Harmon among main stage presenters on the first day. Each Show day, the energy on the Show floor will be infused by numerous main stage presentations by industry leaders, golf fashion designers and PGA Professional instructors.

More than 200 golf companies and brands will present and demonstrate their latest merchandise in the Venetian Ballroom on Tuesday, August 23, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., and on Wednesday, August 24, 9:00 a.m.– 3:00 p.m. Attendees can participate in the comprehensive education conference; test equipment right at the Golf Performance & Training Center; uncover the newest merchandise at the New Product Center; and network with colleagues among displays of the latest golf fashion lines in the new Fashion FOREward Spotlight. And, the popular Elations Industry Reception will return the first night of exhibition events, Tuesday, Aug. 23, at the TAO Las Vegas in the Grand Canal Shoppes of the Venetian, with a new, complimentary Opening Night After-Party at LAVO in the Palazzo Las Vegas Resort.

The 2011 PGA Expo tees off with PGA Professionals and buyers field testing the latest equipment, aids and accessories first hand during the PGA Expo Demo Night on Monday, August 22, 5:00–9:00 p.m., at the Callaway Golf Center, just off the Las Vegas Strip. The event will encompass the open driving range of the practice facility which offers a two-tiered 113-stall lighted driving range; plus the Center's putting & chipping greens and the Divine Nine – a nine-hole lighted par-3 course. A Demo Night party will be offered throughout the facility and an industry golf outing will take place on the Divine Nine. Complimentary shuttle service will be provided to and from the Venetian Hotel for all PGA Expo attendees.
