Hole 13

No. 13 — 465 Yards, Par 4

Now comes the hard part. Number 13 is the start of the demanding final test. This hole was the second toughest in 2000 -- and it's just got tougher. A new tee has added 35 yards, making the Coffins bunkers a real threat at 290 yards on the left. The second shot is to a raised green with a narrow entrance between a hollow filled with tangled rough on the left and a deep bunker to the right.

By Keith Mackie, golf historian and writer from a well-established golfing family in St. Andrews.
