480 Yards
Par 4
This 480-yard par 4 puts a premium on the tee shot. The ideal line is straight at the flag, down a thin valley between sandhills, bunkers and bushes. There's more room beyond the sandhills to the left, but big hitters will need to throttle back on this line to avoid a wide bunker. The prevailing wind and the left-to-right slope of the green will kick the second shot to the right, but there's a cavernous bunker waiting at the left of the green for any over-cautious approach.
By Keith Mackie, golf historian and writer from a well-established golfing family in St. Andrews.
