The complimentary PGA Fall Expo Career Fair returns in 2010 to connect qualified industry professionals with job opportunities at some of the most recognized companies in golf, August 17-18, at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Located right on the show floor in Booth 1035, the Career Fair is produced in partnership by PGA Golf Exhibitions, The PGA of America, the National Golf Sales Representatives Association (NGSA) and leading golf industry employers including Dick's Sporting Goods and Golf Galaxy. The second edition of the PGA Fall Expo Career Fair is comprehensive in its offerings and will include employer recruitment services, job and resume posting boards, employment workshops, on-site interviewing for a variety of industry positions, PGA Employment Services and access to PGA of America Employment Consultants. PGA Fall Expo vendors are able to immediately post employment opportunities at pgaexpo.com/careerfair.
"Industry professionals come from all over the world to PGA Golf Exhibitions events and represent a myriad of professional sectors within our industry," said PGA Golf Exhibitions Group Vice President and General Manager Ed Several. "This second edition of the PGA Fall Expo Career Fair has been expanded to offer immediate employment opportunities, valuable career workshops, relevant business networking and access to the top PGA career counselors and industry employers. It is a mutually rewarding program for employers and qualified professionals alike."
Dick's Sporting Goods and Golf Galaxy, two of the golf industry's largest employers of PGA Professionals, will stage recruitment efforts and company informational sessions in Booth 1132, right next to the Career Fair, throughout the two-day industry gathering.
Also, the NGSA, along with the NGSA's management company Golf Clearing House, will be located at Booth 1033 to offer sales representative employment workshops and direct access to open sales representative positions at more than 200 golf companies currently listed in the NGSA's The Sales Leader "Reps Wanted Section."
PGA Employment Services also is located within the Career Fair and is an important part of the PGA Fall Expo Career Fair by presenting complimentary PGA Professional workshops, offering free access to the online PGA Employment Center and having employment consultants on hand.
Designed as the golf industry's hiring resource, the PGA Employment Center offers the award-winning CareerLinks, a complimentary employment referral service for PGA Professional management level positions, and PGAjobfinder, the golf industry's job posting and networking resource for member and non-member, non-management positions. All PGA Fall Expo Career Fair employment postings, both by job-seekers and golf-related employers that remain open, will be shared on PGAjobfinder after the PGA Fall Expo.
PGA Employment Services daily workshops will be offered free of charge to attending PGA Professionals in the PGA Member Business Center just off the Show floor in the Titian Room. Each complimentary workshop offers one MSR credit in the education category to participating PGA members. Workshops include:
