A three-time winner on the Challenge Tour in 1993 and member of the European Tour since 1994, he played both the European Tour and the PGA Tour in 1998. Admitted it was a mistake because he spent too much time on a plane. . . Came close to becoming the first player to win the European Tour Qualifying school finals twice. He won it in 1996 and finished second in 1999. . . .Member of the 2002 European Ryder Cup Team.
