Despite not qualifying for the PGA Tour in Q-School in Nov. of 2000, he still played in some tour events in 2001 and when he finished T14th at the Kemper Open (along with his T6th at BellSouth & 7th at Compaq Classic) he made enough money to earn a berth on the PGA Tour for the rest of 2001.
