Player Notes

Missed the first seven months of the 2003 season recuperating from an ankle break sustained while playing ice hockey in December 2002. As a result, started the 2004 season on a medical exemption. Before long, he had secured a full two-year exemption again by landing the Qatar Masters, and went on to share third place in the Deutsche Bank-SAP Open TPC of Europe and outright third in the Volvo PGA Championship. It was the second time in his career that Haeggman, the first Swede to play in The Ryder Cup Matches in 1993, has been forced out of action after injuring himself playing ice hockey with friends. He was out of the game for nearly two years following an accident in 1994, which left him with a dislocated shoulder and broken ribs, an injury, which effectively deprived him of the chance to retain his Ryder Cup berth. However, enjoyed the role as one of Sam Torrance's backroom team at The Belfry during Europe's victory over the United States in the 34th Ryder Cup Matches in 2002. Took up golf at age 10, when parents sent him for personal tuition. Specializes in trick shots in golf clinics, which makes him in demand for corporate outings.
