Furyk possesses one of the most distinctive and recognizable swings on the PGA Tour, a swing that he describes as natural and athletic. His only teacher has been his father, Mike, who started Jim putting cross-handed at age seven, on the advice of Arnold Palmer and Gary Player. Furyk is considered to be one of the best putters on Tour. . . Member of the 1997, 1999, 2002 & 2004 Ryder Cup Team. . . Member of the 1998, 2000 & 2003 Presidents Cup Team . . .Set a PGA Tour record for most money earned without a victory with $1.6 million in '97. Since then, the total was raised to $3.459,740 million by David Toms in 2002.
