Player Notes

In 1980, at the age of nine, Cejka and his father escaped from Czechoslovakia and settled in Germany. Two years later, he took up golf and by the age of 16 was good enough to finish fifth in the Austrian Amateur Open. Three years later he turned pro and won his native countries Open twice, in 1990 and '92. After his six try in Q-School, Cejka finally got his European Tour card in 1993.
