Member of Arizona State's 1996 NCAA National Championship team. Won the 1993 Junior World title at Torrey Pines, where Tiger Woods finished fourth, eight strokes back. Won the 1993 Junior PGA Championship in Pinehurst, N.C., by a seven-stroke margin over Robert Floyd, son of Raymond Floyd. . . Perez has lots of memories of Torrey Pines since he went to high school there and his father Tony is the starter at the Buick Invitational. Pat's brother, Mike, earned playing privileges on the Buy.Com tour at the 2001 PGA Tour qualifying tournament and is playing on the Nationwide Tour in 2003. They were the only brothers to play in the finals.
