Player Notes

Has had two consistent seasons on The European Tour since making his breakthrough in May 2002 when he won PGA Championship at Wentworth Club. Won in record breaking style, setting a new low aggregate for the West Course - a 19 under par total of 269 which beat the previous best of 270 held by Bernhard Langer and Colin Montgomerie - but which was subsequently matched by Scott Drummond in 2004. Almost notched his second Tour victory at the start of the 2003 season but lost in a six-man play-off to Mark Foster in the Dunhill championship in South Africa. Finished the 2005 season strongly with a pair of tied third place finishes in the Dunhill links championship and the Open de Madrid on his way to collecting 35th position on the Order of Merit. Twice Danish Amateur Stroke Play Champion and an Eisenhower Trophy player, he started the game at the age of ten influenced by the fact that his parents both played. Went to University of Houston and enjoyed two victories on the collegiate scene in America. Finished 35th on the Challenge Tour in 1998 but gained card through taking third position at the Qualifying School. No relation to his namesake Siren - but they often seem inseparable - to the extent that both holed in one in successive weeks on The European Tour in 1999 and both claimed their maiden European Tour victories within a month of one another. That closeness even stretched to their finishing positions on the 2005 Order of Merit-Anders in 35th and Siren 36th.
