Spectator Guide

The PGA of America and Southern Hills Country Club are dedicated to providing an outstanding spectator experience for all 89th PGA Championship guests. Please assist us by observing proper golf etiquette and decorum. This includes drinking alcoholic beverages responsibly, obeying the marshals, never running, applauding good shots and acting in a considerate manner toward all PGA Championship contestants and fellow patrons.

Admission Policy

There will be no daily re-admission to the grounds of the PGA Championship. If you leave the grounds, you must have a full ticket to return to the PGA Championship. Once the bottom of the ticket has been removed or scanned, it will no longer provide admission to the PGA Championship. The only exception is when the Weather Warning signs are posted, which requires an evacuation of the golf course. Please wear your ticket in plain view at all times as security personnel will not allow admission to the PGA Championship for individuals without appropriate credentials.

Autograph Policy

Autographs may be requested and given at the player's convenience at the Practice Range and Putting Green during the Practice Rounds, (Monday, August 6 through Wednesday, August 8, 2007.) For the player's consideration, a NO AUTOGRAPH POLICY will be enforced on the grounds of Southern Hills Country Club during the Championship Rounds, (Thursday, August 9 through Sunday, August 12, 2007.)

Camera Policy

Cameras are only allowed onsite for the Practice Rounds, Monday August 6 through Wednesday, August 8, 2007. They are not permitted at Southern Hills Country Club during the Championship Rounds, Thursday, August 9 through Sunday, August 12, 2007. Camera phones are prohibited at all times.

Concession / Beverage Stands

Concession stands or drink stands will be located in the following locations:

  • • Main Entrance
  • • Front left of Practice Range
  • • Front right of # 2 Tee
  • • Short left of # 5 Green
  • • Back left of # 12 Green
  • • Behind # 13 and # 16 Greens
  • • Between # 15 and # 16 Fairways
  • • Left of # 18 and # 13 Fairways

Please be sure to keep yourself well hydrated while you are at the PGA Championship!

First Aid Stations

PGA Championship First Aid Stations can be found in three (3) locations on the grounds of Southern Hills Country Club:

  • • Main Entrance to the right of the PGA Championship Golf Shop
  • • Behind # 7 Green
  • • Players right of # 10 Green

If the need for medical assistance should occur, please notify the nearest PGA Championship Volunteer. They will be easily identified by their bright blue and white striped golf shirts.

Information Stations

Information Stations will be located at the following locations:

  • • Main Entrance
  • • Maxwell Entrance

Grandstands

Grandstands will be positioned in the following locations:

  • • Practice Range
  • • Hole # 1 Tee
  • • Hole # 3 Green
  • • Hole # 5 Green
  • • Hole # 7 Green
  • • Hole # 9 Green
  • • Hole # 12 Green
  • • Hole # 13 Green
  • • Hole # 14 Green
  • • Hole # 16 Green
  • • Hole # 17 Green
  • • Hole # 18 Green

Access to all grandstands is on a first-come, first-served basis and is free for all spectators. Wheelchair accessible viewing areas will be located near the Practice Range and on the 1st Tee. Several seats on the first row of every grandstand are also reserved for the physically challenged.

Junior Tickets

In an effort to encourage the attendance of our youth, Junior Tickets will be offered to children 17 years of age and younger for the entire week of the Championship. Practice Round Daily Tickets (Monday, August 6 through Wednesday, August 8, 2007) are $15 and Championship Round Daily Tickets (Thursday, August 9 through Sunday, August 12, 2007) are $30.

A maximum of four (4) Junior Tickets can be obtained per PGA Championship ticketed adult, who will provide supervision while enjoying the event. Junior Tickets will be available on a daily basis during the week of the Championship at Admission Sales/Will Call located at the Main Entrance and the Red Bud Entrance. They will also be available at the PGA Championship Office, located in the Southern Hills Country Club parking lot across from Snug Harbor and the Maxwell Entrance. Junior Tickets will be available on all days, even if the Championship is sold out.

Lost & Found

Lost & Found will be located at the Information Stations positioned at the Main Entrance and at the Maxwell Entrance.

Lost Children

If a child becomes lost, or separated, they will be taken to the PGA Championship Office, located in the Southern Hills Country Club parking lot, across from Snug Harbor and the Maxwell Entrance. Methods of Payment: Cash must be used at all concession and beverage stands. Travelers checks, credit cards, debit cards and cash are accepted in the PGA Championship Golf Shop. An automated teller machine (ATM) will also be located in the PGA Championship Golf Shop.

myLEADERBOARDs

myLEADERBOARDs will be available for rent at the Main Entrance for $15 per day on Practice Rounds and $25 per day on Championship Rounds. myLEADERBOARDs allow spectators to:

  • • Receive real-time golf scoring for all players
  • • Locate and follow players on any hole
  • • Create a personalized leaderboard for specific players
  • • Get player biographies, past round information, course data and real time statistics
  • • Receive news flashes
  • • Obtain information and directions to concession stands, restrooms, first aid stations and merchandise venues

PGA Championship Golf Shop

The PGA Championship Golf Shop is located at the Main Entrance adjacent to the Wanamaker Club. A variety of merchandise, such as men�s and women�s apparel, outerwear, headwear, artwork, gifts and memorabilia will be available for purchase.

A "Merchandise Bag Check" is conveniently located near the PGA Championship Golf Shop as you exit the facility. Patrons are welcome to store their purchases at this location while enjoying the day at Southern Hills Country Club. For your convenience, the PGA Championship will also feature a Shipping Tent. You may ship your purchases to any destination. You will find the Shipping Tent next to the Bag Check Area.

PGA Championship Journals

A voucher for a complimentary 89th PGA Championship Journal is included with each weekly ticket (Season, Wanamaker, Snug Harbor). These vouchers may be redeemed at the PGA Championship Golf Shop or at the Information Station located at the Main Entrance. Additional journals are available for purchase at these locations for $10 each.

Prohibited Items

The following items will not be permitted on the grounds of Southern Hills Country Club:

  • • All personal electronics, to include cellular telephones, camera phones, blackberries, pagers, radios, televisions, palm pilots, hand-held games, MP3 Players, iPods, etc.
  • • Food, bikes, coolers, ladders, signs, banners and metal spiked golf shoes.
  • • Weapons will not be allowed, regardless of permit.
  • • Dogs and other pets.
  • • No bags larger than 12�x12�x12� in their natural state.
  • • Spectators may bring small portable/folding chairs to the PGA Championship. Oversized chairs with wide arm rests are not allowed.
  • • Cameras are only allowed during the Practice Rounds, Monday, August 6 through Wednesday, August 8, 2007. Cameras are not permitted at Southern Hills Country Club Thursday, August 9 through Sunday, August 12, 2007.

If a spectator brings any of the above items to the event, he/she will be asked to leave them at a Tech-Check Station located at the PGA Championship's entrances. The items will be held until the completion of that day's activities.

The Trophy Presentation Ceremony

The Wanamaker Trophy Presentation Ceremony will take place on the 18th green immediately following the end of play on Sunday, August 12th. In the event of a tie for first place after 72 holes, there will be a threehole aggregate score play-off on holes 13, 17, and 18. If the scores remain tied at the conclusion of the play-off, a hole by hole play-off will take place until the tie is broken. The Wanamaker Trophy Presentation Ceremony will immediately follow the play-off.

Will Call:

There will be no Will Call service for the public at the 89th PGA Championship. Please do not plan to leave tickets for pick-up at the PGA Championship site. It is your responsibility to distribute or obtain your tickets prior to arriving at Southern Hills Country Club.

Weather Policy for all Spectators:

Observe the Leaderboards and Thru Boards throughout the golf course for the Weather Warning signs that will appear if the PGA of America becomes aware of inclement weather moving into the area. When the signs appear (symbol above), spectators are advised to take precautions and seek shelter PRIOR to play being suspended. If the siren sounds, put down your umbrella and seek shelter immediately.
