Furyk possesses one of the most distinctive and recognizable swings on the PGA Tour, a swing that he describes as natural and athletic. His only teacher has been his father, Mike, who started Jim putting cross-handed at age seven, on the advice of Arnold Palmer and Gary Player. Furyk is considered to be one of the best putters on Tour. . . Member of the 1997, 1999, 2002, 2004 and 2006 Ryder Cup Teams. . . Member of the 1998, 2000, 2003 and 2005 Presidents Cup Teams . . .Set PGA Tour record for most money earned without a victory with $1.6 million in 1997. Since then, the total was raised to $3.562,548 million by Chris DiMarco in 2005.
