Player Notes

Two victories in 2006 made him Sweden?s most prolific European Tour champion, surpassing the record of Anders Forsbrand, as he took his victory tally to seven with a sensational win in The Deutsche Bank Players? Championship of Europe. That followed an earlier win in The Celtic Manor Wales Open during a stunning season for Swedish golf. His outstanding year was capped by an impressive Ryder Cup debut as he played his part in Europe?s record-equaling victory at The K Club. Joined The European Tour in 1991 and won his first five titles between 1995 and 2002. In 2003 he decided to make a fresh start after years of feeling frustrated with both his game and life situation. Since then has worked hard with his attitudes towards the game, family, friends and life in general which has changed his approach to the game, and to life as a whole, as he has become more relaxed and content both on and off the course. His work with Swedish coach, Annchristine Lundstr?m, has helped enormously and he credits her for the hints she has given him to fully start taking personal leadership. One of the tallest players on Tour at 6ft 5in and possesses one of the best swings. Son of a greenskeeper, hails from St Malm in Sweden but is now resident in Monaco. *Member of the 2006 Ryder Cup team.
