Continued his strong run of form with second place at the BMW Asian Open in April before claiming a fourth European Tour title at the BMW International Open, en route to a career-best sixth place on the 2006 Order of Merit. A proven match play exponent, he was joint top scorer in the 2005 Seve Trophy with four points out of five in a stunning debut and collected one and half points from three in The 2006 Ryder Cup.
