Captured his second European Tour title during the 2006 season with an impressive victory in the Omega European Masters at Crans-sur-Sierre, three years after winning the Madeira Island Open. Partnered Stephen Dodd in Wales? victory in the WGC ?Algarve World Cup in Portugal at the end of the previous season, emulating the feat of David Llewellyn and Ian Woosnam in 1987 of leading Wales to World Cup glory. Has established himself as one of The European Tour?s most consistent performers since graduating from the Challenge Tour in 1999 after finishing the season in eighth place in the Rankings. It was the second time he had earned his card through the Challenge Tour route having previously claimed the 15th and last card in 1997. Prior to turning professional, he was runner-up to Stephen Dundas in The Amateur Championship at Carnoustie in 1992 but gained some consolation with a place in the Walker Cup team of 1993.
