Player Notes

Rookie on the 2005 PGA Tour after making it through the final stage of the 2004 Qualifying Tournament in his second attempt. Finished T11. Spent the 2004 season on the Nationwide Tour, where he finished 26th on the money list. Wrapped up the final full-field event of the season with his first Tour win at the Miccosukee Championship. Entered the final round four shots behind 54-hole leader Nick Watney, but a 6-under-par 65 catapulted him to a two-stroke win worth $90,000. Had a hole-in-one on No. 5 during the second round of the Envirocare Utah Classic. Turned professional at the FBR Capital Open in early June 2003. Posted rounds of 73-75 and missed the cut. Played a total of six events and made the cut in one, the Greater Hartford Open (T71). Played in the 2001 Masters as an amateur, missing the cut. Helped lead Clemson to the 2003 NCAA title, the first in school history. The No. 1-rank Tigers became the first school in NCAA history to win its conference championship, an NCAA regional title and the NCAA Championship in the same year. Had one win among his nine Top-10 s in 13 starts as a senior. First-team All-American, first-team all-district and four-time All-ACC selection. Ben Hogan Award finalist. Had three wins among his nine Top-10 s during his junior year and was NCAA Player of the Year. Member of the 2001 U.S. Walker Cup team.
